Is your Wix store ready for 27 September?
From 27 September 2026 every shop selling to consumers in the EU has to show the harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity at the point of sale. The notice is a fixed design published in all 24 official languages: online it must be shown in colour, and none of it may be edited — not the wording, not the colours, not the layout, not the QR code.

Where the notice goes on Wix
- The notice is artwork in a fixed design, so it belongs on the product page itself rather than in the product description.
- On Wix that is a product-page plugin, added once in the editor so it appears on every product.
- A multilingual Wix site has to serve the notice in the language of the page the visitor is on.

What this check can and cannot see
Everything below comes from the HTML your shop sends an ordinary visitor. That is a real limit, not a disclaimer, so here is exactly where it bites.
What it sees
- The HTML your server sends for your home page and up to a dozen product pages.
- Text and links that are present in that HTML.
What it cannot see
- Anything your shop builds in the browser. If we could not find something, that is not proof it is missing — open the page and look before you change anything.
- Pages we did not open. We read a sample of your products, never the whole catalogue.
- Your product data: which goods are sold by weight or volume (which is why we do not check the Grundpreis at all), which products have a manufacturer or EU Responsible Person recorded, or what your prices were last month.
- Anything that is not on a page. Packaging registration (LUCID) and tax registration leave no trace in a storefront, so no scanner can check them.
On Wix this gap is at its widest: Wix sends the same page shell for every address and fills it in the browser. That is why this check never tells a Wix shop that something is missing — from outside, we genuinely cannot tell.
What only an installed app can do
- Read every product, not a sample.
- Read the product fields themselves instead of guessing from rendered text.
- Know which languages your shop actually publishes.
- Re-check on its own as you add products, instead of when you remember to.
