Terms of Service — EU Compliance Kit for Wix

By installing EU Compliance Kit for Wix ("the app") you ("the merchant") agree to these terms. If you install on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it. These terms sit alongside the Wix App Market terms, which also apply.

1. What the app does

The app (a) records your catalogue prices over time and writes a reference price — the lowest price of the preceding 30 days, or the longer period you configure — to your site for display on product pages; (b) provides a product-page plugin, records and a coverage report to help you publish product-safety information required by the EU General Product Safety Regulation; and (c) reports where that information is missing. Features are described in the App Market listing and may change; we will not remove a core function during a paid period without notice.

3. Not legal advice

The app is a software tool. It does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether your site, pricing, or product information complies with Directive 98/6/EC as amended, Regulation (EU) 2023/988, national implementing law, or any other law. Requirements differ between member states and change over time. You remain solely responsible for your legal compliance and should take your own advice. Descriptions such as "helps you display" or "supports compliance with" describe the app's purpose, not a guarantee of outcome.

4. Fees, trial, cancellation

The free plan is free for as long as it is offered. The Pro plan is billed through Wix at the price shown in the App Market listing, currently USD 9.90 per month or the yearly price shown there, after a 14-day free trial where offered. Charges appear on your Wix invoice under Wix's billing terms, and Wix handles cancellation and refunds under those terms. Cancelling the Pro plan returns your site to the free plan at the end of the paid period; your settings and price history are kept and the Pro features resume if you subscribe again.

5. Your data

How we handle data is set out in the Privacy Policy at https://eucompliance.justarobot.online/privacy-wix, which forms part of these terms. You grant us the licence needed to read your site's product data and to write to the app's data collections in your site for the sole purpose of operating the app. We claim no ownership of your data. All data keyed to your site on our servers is deleted 48 hours after uninstall; we do not undertake to restore it afterwards — export your price history before uninstalling if you need a record.

6. Availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. The product-page plugins read data already stored in your own site, so a reference price or safety disclosure already published continues to display if our service is unavailable; new price changes are recorded when service resumes. Planned maintenance will be announced in the app where practical.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app is error-free or that the reference prices, coverage reports, or other results it produces are accurate, complete, or sufficient for any legal purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill, however arising. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the fees you paid for the app in the one month before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, fines, penalties, and reasonable legal costs arising from (a) your breach of these terms, (b) your violation of any law, including consumer-protection and product-safety law, in connection with your site, or (c) the content of your site, including product, price, manufacturer, and safety information.

10. Acceptable use

You will not reverse engineer the app, use it to build a competing service, resell access, or use it in a way that interferes with Wix or other merchants. We may suspend access for breach, for security reasons, or where Wix requires it.

11. Termination

You may terminate at any time by uninstalling. We may terminate on 30 days' notice, or immediately for material breach or if Wix withdraws the app. Sections 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date and notifying the site owner email on file at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, United States, and the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law of your country.

14. General

If any provision is unenforceable the rest stands. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the App Market listing are the entire agreement. We may assign these terms to a successor of the app business; you may not assign without consent.
