Terms of Service — EU Compliance Kit
Effective date: 21 August 2026
Provider: Universal Exporters LLC, 10006 Rolke Rd, Houston, TX 77099, United States
By installing EU Compliance Kit ("the app") you ("the merchant") agree to these terms. If you install on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it. These terms sit alongside Shopify's App Store terms, which also apply.
1. What the app does
The app (a) records your catalogue prices over time and writes a reference price — the lowest price of the preceding 30 days, or the longer period you configure — to your store for display on product pages; (b) provides storefront blocks and a coverage report to help you publish product-safety information required by the EU General Product Safety Regulation; and (c) reports where that information is missing. Features are described in the App Store listing and may change; we will not remove a core function during a paid period without notice.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- the accuracy of the prices, product data, manufacturer and Responsible Person details in your store — the app computes from what it finds there;
- deciding which products are in scope of Omnibus and GPSR for your markets, including any exemptions you configure;
- placing the app's blocks in your theme and keeping them placed; the dashboard reports placement but cannot prevent a theme edit removing them;
- discounts the app cannot see — discount codes, automatic and cart-level discounts apply below the catalogue price and are not tracked;
- compliance with the laws of each country you sell into.
3. Not legal advice
The app is a software tool. It does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether your store, pricing, or product information complies with Directive 98/6/EC as amended, Regulation (EU) 2023/988, national implementing law, or any other law. Requirements differ between member states and change over time. You remain solely responsible for your legal compliance and should take your own advice. Descriptions such as "helps you meet" or "supports compliance with" describe the app's purpose, not a guarantee of outcome.
4. Fees, trial, cancellation
The app is billed through Shopify at the price shown in the App Store listing, currently USD 12.99 per 30 days after a 14-day free trial. Development stores are free. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice under Shopify's billing terms. Uninstalling cancels the subscription; no refund is due for the remainder of a billing period except where required by law or at our discretion.
5. Your data
How we handle data is set out in the Privacy Policy at https://eucompliance.justarobot.online/privacy, which forms part of these terms. You grant us the licence needed to read your store data and write metafields for the sole purpose of operating the app. We claim no ownership of your data. All data keyed to your store is deleted 48 hours after uninstall; we do not undertake to restore it afterwards — export your price history before uninstalling if you need a record.
6. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. The storefront blocks read metafields already stored in your shop, so a reference price or safety label already published continues to display if our service is unavailable; new price changes are recorded when service resumes. Planned maintenance will be announced in the app where practical.
7. Warranty disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app is error-free or that the reference prices, coverage reports, or other results it produces are accurate, complete, or sufficient for any legal purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill, however arising. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the fees you paid for the app in the one month before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, fines, penalties, and reasonable legal costs arising from (a) your breach of these terms, (b) your violation of any law, including consumer-protection and product-safety law, in connection with your store, or (c) the content of your store, including product, price, manufacturer, and safety information.
10. Acceptable use
You will not reverse engineer the app, use it to build a competing service, resell access, or use it in a way that interferes with Shopify or other merchants. We may suspend access for breach, for security reasons, or where Shopify requires it.
11. Termination
You may terminate at any time by uninstalling. We may terminate on 30 days' notice, or immediately for material breach or if Shopify withdraws the app. Sections 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 13 survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date and notifying the store owner email on file at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, United States, and the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law of your country.
14. General
If any provision is unenforceable the rest stands. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the App Store listing are the entire agreement. We may assign these terms to a successor of the app business; you may not assign without consent. Notices to us go to support@justarobot.online; notices to you go to the store owner email on file.
