Is your shop ready for 27 September?
Two EU rules start that day. The harmonised legal guarantee notice becomes mandatory on product pages (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960), and Directive (EU) 2024/825 adds new banned commercial practices that catch wording many shops already use.

What this check can and cannot see
Everything below comes from the HTML your shop sends an ordinary visitor. That is a real limit, not a disclaimer, so here is exactly where it bites.
What it sees
- The HTML your server sends for your home page and up to a dozen product pages.
- Text and links that are present in that HTML.
What it cannot see
- Anything your shop builds in the browser. If we could not find something, that is not proof it is missing — open the page and look before you change anything.
- Pages we did not open. We read a sample of your products, never the whole catalogue.
- Your product data: which goods are sold by weight or volume (which is why we do not check the Grundpreis at all), which products have a manufacturer or EU Responsible Person recorded, or what your prices were last month.
- Anything that is not on a page. Packaging registration (LUCID) and tax registration leave no trace in a storefront, so no scanner can check them.
What only an installed app can do
- Read every product, not a sample.
- Read the product fields themselves instead of guessing from rendered text.
- Know which languages your shop actually publishes.
- Re-check on its own as you add products, instead of when you remember to.
The small print

The checker reads wording and markup. It cannot see your evidence, your contracts or your product data, so a phrase it flags may be perfectly defensible once you show what is behind it — and a page it passes may still have a problem it does not test for. It reads your page as your server sends it, before any JavaScript runs, so anything your theme builds in the browser is invisible to it — what it can and cannot see spells that out. Treat the output as a prompt to look, not a verdict. For anything that matters, ask a lawyer.
What we keep
No account, no email address, no cookies, no tracking, and nothing written to our database — not your shop address, not the results. Three things are worth saying plainly rather than hiding behind “nothing is stored”. The address you enter travels in the page URL, so it appears in ordinary web-server request logs like any other URL. We also write one line to our own server log per scan — the domain, how many pages we read and what we found — so that we can spot someone using this page to crawl other people’s shops; it holds no IP address and no full URL. And your IP address itself is kept in memory only, for up to ten minutes, purely to rate-limit. None of it is shared with anyone. Full detail in our privacy policy.
What we do to your shop
We fetch your home page and up to a dozen product pages once, as an ordinary visitor would, identifying ourselves in the user agent. We do not log in, submit forms, follow checkout, or touch anything that changes your shop.
